An event underlining the relationship between Mihai Eminescu and the Sanskrit language was held at the National Museum of Romanian Literature. Ambassador graced the event and thanked everyone for showing so much interest in this special connection shared by the two countries. He remembered how impressed he was when seeing Eminescu's perfect handwriting in Sanskrit, being shown his translation of Franz Bopp's grammar during a prior visit to the museum. He also mentioned the fact that no celebration of Eminescu and India can be complete without bringing up two names: Dr. Amita Bhose, who wrote two books on Eminescu and his legacy, and Dr. George Anca, knowledgeable in Eminescu's works. Ambassador informed the participants about the Sanskrit learning app Little Guru, an initiative of the Government of India to make Sanskrit more accessible. Mrs. Loreta Popa, PR at the National Museum of Romanian Literature, Mrs. Carmen Musat-Coman, Director of Cununi de Stele Publishing House, Mrs. Lavinia Amza, teacher of Romanian, and students also spoke on the occasion.
