"FASCINATING INDIA" - AN EXCEPTIONAL DISPLAY OF CULTURAL DIPLOMACY AT THE "GEORGE APOSTU" CULTURAL CENTER
On Thursday, June 8th, 2023, through the goodwill of the Embassy of India in Romania, the "George Apostu" Cultural Center organized the "Fascinating India" Exhibition, a true moment of cultural diplomacy between the two states.
Event was a real success, in the exhibition space of the "George Apostu" Museum of Contemporary Art, representatives and academic staff of the "Vasile Alecsandri" University Management from Bacău, students and teachers from the "George Apostu" National College of Art were present, accompanied by director Mrs. Daniela Bârzu, students from the Journalism Group (circle) within the Children's Palace Bacău, coordinated by Prof. Laura Huiban, Marcela Lăzăroiu, Marketing and Development Department, Territorial Representation Bacău and Vrancea, Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism and, last but not least, representatives of the central, county and local public administration.
His Excellency, Mr. Rahul Shrivastava, Ambassador of India, Bucharest, was present at the event, in whose speech numerous spiritual, cultural and touristic arguments were constituted, which make India a truly fabulous universe. At the same time, H.E. also addressed issues related to bilateral, Romanian-Indian diplomatic relations.
On behalf of the organizers, Dr. Alin Sebastian Popa, "George Apostu" Culture Center, spoke to the audience about "Planet" India, a vibrant, brightly colored universe, a land of mystics always in search of peace and inner peace , the place where love stories were written in white marble (see Taj Mahal), a space of absolute contrasts and a cultural, linguistic and religious diversity unique in the world, a universe that gravitates around the Ganges, the sacred river, which washes in a purifying way the most populous nation of the world. India is truly a fascinating country, a country that does not reveal as much diversity as the whole world can offer.
The cultural program of "George Apostu" Culture Center is carried out under the aegis of "Tradition and Faith - Steps of Perfection" for the rest of 2023 year.
